Abstract
ABSTRACT Dwita Anggraini, 2025. The Practice of Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project: A Phenomenological Study in the Accounting and Financial Institution Department of SMK Negeri 5 Madiun. Thesis. Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Farida Styaningrum, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Dr. Nur Wahyuning Suistyowati, S.E., M.Pd. Key Terms: Pancasila Student Profile, Merdeka Curriculum, project-based learning, vocational school, phenomenology The Strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) is an essential part of the Merdeka Curriculum, aiming to develop students' character and competencies through project-based learning. However, in practice, many schools still face challenges in its implementation. This study aims to explore the readiness and implementation of P5 in the Accounting and Financial Institution Department at SMK Negeri 5 Madiun. The research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the subjective experiences of teachers and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the school has reached the "developing" stage in its readiness to implement P5, as evidenced by the formation of a facilitator team, availability of supporting facilities, and a structured project guide. P5 is implemented in a block system for one week each semester, with themes and dimensions tailored to the characteristics of the accounting department. The implementation supports the internalization of values such as collaboration, independence, and critical thinking. Nevertheless, obstacles remain, including limited implementation time, varying levels of understanding among educators, and the need for further training. This study concludes that P5 significantly contributes to character development among students but requires systematic support and continuous guidance for optimal implementation.
