Abstract
Denik Amin Yuliana. 2026. Enhancing the Vocabulary of 4–5-Year-Old Children Through Javanese-Language Singing Methods Focused on "Unggah-Ungguh Jawa" (Javanese Etiquette) at TK Dharma Wanita Tepas. Early Childhood Education Teacher Training Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Noviyanti Kartini Dewi, M.Pd. Kons., (II) Dr. Alisa Alfina, M.Pd. In the modern era, the Javanese language is increasingly being sidelined and forgotten, with children becoming unfamiliar with their own regional language. To prevent the Javanese language from fading away, instruction related to it can be integrated into early childhood education institutions—a crucial stage for building the foundation of the next generation, who will one day carry forward their respective regional cultures. The use of singing as a pedagogical method makes learning activities enjoyable for young children, helping them more easily recall the material taught by their teachers. For young children, the singing method supports cognitive development—enhancing both their thinking skills and language abilities—while also serving as a form of physical activity. This study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The results indicate that the singing method enables children to more easily grasp and absorb Javanese vocabulary, including *krama inggil* (the formal, respectful register of the Javanese language). Keywords: Singing method, Javanese language, *unggah-ungguh* (etiquette), Early Childhood Education (PAUD)
