Abstract
Febi Lestari. 2026. The Effect of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Scramble Type Using Digest Book Media on Students’ Science Literacy in Terms of Learning Motivation. Undergraduate Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Rissa Prima Kurniawati, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II) Naniek Kusumawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research was conducted because the science literacy of fifth-grade students at SDN Jiwan 02 was still low. The learning process was mostly based on lectures, and the use of learning media was still limited. As a result, students were less active in the learning process. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Scramble cooperative learning model using Digest Book media on students’ science literacy, to determine differences in science literacy based on students’ learning motivation, and to determine the interaction between the learning model and learning motivation on students’ science literacy. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The subjects were fifth-grade students at SDN Jiwan 02 who studied the human digestive system. Data were collected using a science literacy test and a learning motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Two-Way ANOVA with IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the Scramble cooperative learning model using Digest Book media had a significant effect on students’ science literacy, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Learning motivation also had a significant effect on students’ science literacy, with a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. However, there was no significant interaction between the learning model and learning motivation on students’ science literacy, with a significance value of 0.086 > 0.05. Therefore, the Scramble cooperative learning model using Digest Book media can be used as an alternative way to improve students’ science literacy.
