Abstract

Language is used and owned by every human being as a medium of communication that cannot be simply removed from each person. Harmony of understanding in communicating between speakers and interlocutors is needed so that communication runs well at all times without any obstacles. Pragmatic studies in the field of presuppositions are appropriate in studying language science on the meaning of speech uttered when communicating directly or indirectly or written in reading media such as comics. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the forms of existential presuppositions, structural presuppositions, and factive presuppositions in the online comic "Ngopi, Yuk!" episodes 929-1073. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research method used is descriptive by describing and explaining speech containing presuppositions. The data collection technique for this study uses the listening and recording technique, namely collecting data containing presuppositional speech according to Yule. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that speech containing dominant forms of presuppositions appear in the online comic "Ngopi, Yuk!" episodes 929-1073, namely three forms of presupposition, consisting of 33 existential presupposition utterances, 27 factive presupposition utterances, and 18 structural presupposition utterances. Existential presupposition is indicated by the existence of a place, an entity, a person, time, words and phrases that indicate a person's mood and condition. Structural presupposition is marked by interrogative sentences or question words what, where, how, where, why, who, and when. While the form of factive presupposition is indicated by words and verb phrases carried out by characters in the online comic "Ngopi, Yuk!" episodes 929-1073. In indicating character utterances that contain presupposition, it is necessary to understand the relationship between context and speech to classify the forms of presupposition according to their respective characters.
