Abstract

The low conceptual understanding of students related to integers makes it difficult for students to work on various types of questions regarding integer operations. This study aims to develop and produce an interactive e-module based on RME and socio-culture on integer material to strengthen students' conceptual understanding. This type of research is development research or R&D. This type of research is development research or R&D. This development research uses the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques use observation techniques, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis techniques are carried out by conducting validity tests (percentage method), practicality tests (percentage method), and effectiveness tests (N-Gain score method). This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Geger. The subjects of this development research were 6 class VII students from class VII B for limited tests and 31 class VII C students for field tests. The results of this development research are: 1) The interactive e-module based on RME and socio culture meets the criteria of very valid with an average combined validation percentage of 94.5%. 2) The interactive e-module based on RME and socio culture meets the criteria of practicality with an average combined score on the student response questionnaire of 74.5%. 3) The interactive e-module based on RME and socio culture meets the criteria of effectiveness with an average combined percentage of student learning completion of 44%. Therefore, the interactive e-module based on RME and socio culture is suitable for use to strengthen students' conceptual understanding in learning mathematics for junior high school grade VII, especially in the material of integers.
