Improving student learning outcomes through the group investigation type cooperative learning model for fourth grade of students of SDN 1 Somoroto, Indonesian Language Subjects Description Text material for the study year 2023/2024. Thesis. Madiun: Master of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Madiun University Postgraduate Program, Supervisor I Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd., Supervisor II Dr. Agung Nasrulloh, S.Pd., M.Pd. Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation, Learning Outcomes This research is a qualitative research type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The purpose of this research is to describe and explain and improve learning outcomes with the application of the Cooperative Learning type Group Investigation model for grade V students of SDN 1 Somoroto, Indonesian language subject matter of description text in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research applies the Cooperative Learning type Group Investigation model. After conducting research with this model, there was an increase in learning outcomes in grade V D students of SDN 1 Somoroto on the material of descriptive text. The learning outcomes of students on descriptive text material can be seen from the test results conducted before the research action, Cycle I, and Cycle II. Students' learning outcomes on descriptive text material before the research were still below the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives (KKTP). In Cycle I there was an increase in students' average score from 71.92 to 81.15. In cycle I there were 11 students who scored above KKTP then in cycle II there were 23 students. When expressed in percentage, students who completed in cycle I amounted to 42.30% and increased in cycle II to 88.46%. This means that the minimum target of 75% completeness has been achieved. This proves that by applying the cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type with descriptive text material in class V D SDN 1 Somoroto Ponorogo has succeeded in improving student learning outcomes.
