Abstract
Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) is one of the taxes managed by the Regional Government. This research aims to analyze the level of effectiveness and contribution of rural and urban PBB to the original regional income of Magetan Regency. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. This research data is in the form of primary and secondary data obtained through interviews and observation. The results of this research show (1) the level of PBB P2 effectiveness in Magetan Regency is at the Very Effective criteria with an average value of 103.59%, for the level of PBB P2 Contribution to Original Regional Income is still at the Low and Very Low level with an average value -average below 50%, namely 10.3%. (2) The obstacles experienced are that many tax objects are unknown to the owners and the awareness of taxpayers. (3) Efforts made by the regional government include holding outreach, reducing rate and providing easy access to online payments.
