Abstract

The research aimed to describe the implementation of IT based problem solving model to improve the achiement on social science of sixth grade students at 03 Madiun Lor Elementary School. This research was classroom action research with 2 cycles consisting of 4 stages namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of the research was fifth grade students of 03 Madiun Lor Elementary School in academic year 2023/2024. The technique of data collection used observation and test. The technique of data analysis used qualitative descriptive in which the research report used table, graph, and the explanation. The result showed that (1) the teacher taught based on the steps in problem solving. (2) IT based problem solving model could improve the achievement of social science, the improvement of average score from pre cycle 74,33 improved to cycle I 77,00, and improved in cycle II 87,67. The classical achievement in pre cycle 66, 67% improved to 76,67% on cycle I and improved again to 100% on cycle II.
