History Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Khoirul Huda, M.Pd. (II) Anjar Mukti Wibowo S.Sn., M.Pd Keywords: Project Based Learning, History Learning This research aims to describe the implementation of the project based learning method in history learning at Yos Sudarso Rembang Vocational School, Rembang Regency, Central Java. The method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and document analysis. Data validity uses source triangulation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis. The research results show: (1) The implementation of the project based learning method in history learning at Yos Sudarso Rembang Vocational School has gone well, such as determining basic questions, designing project designs, determining project schedules, monitoring student project progress, testing project work results and evaluating experiences; (2) There are problems in the application of the PJBL method to history learning at Yos Sudarso Rembang Vocational School, these problems are experienced by teachers and students; (3) Students gave a positive response to the applicability of the project-based method to history learning so that it succeeded in eliminating the impression that history learning is learning that only involves rote memorization, therefore the project-based learning method succeeded in making the learning process more meaningful.
