Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an inquiry-based interactive module on sequences and series material that can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This research is development research using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Jiwan on class X students in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and tests. The instruments used are observation sheets, interactive module validation sheets, student response questionnaire sheets, and student test question sheets. The results of the research show that the inquiry-based interactive module is said to be valid with validation results by media experts and material experts of 93%. The inquiry-based interactive module also received a positive response from students with a percentage of 74.44% in limited trials and a percentage of 74.38% in field trials, so the module can be categorized as practical. The inquiry-based interactive module was also categorized as effective with a percentage result of 76.33% in limited trials and a percentage result of 82.71% in field trials. The effectiveness of the interactive module is also supported by the results of students' increased mathematical reasoning abilities compared to before using the inquiry-based interactive module. Based on the results of this research, inquiry-based interactive modules are suitable for use in learning to improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
