Abstract
This research aims to explore the learning obstacles of grade XI high school students. This study was conducted at SMAN 1 Jiwan class XI A. This study aims to see how students solve mathematical problems based on numeracy literacy, by considering their level of math anxiety. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. These obstacles include a lack of understanding of basic mathematical concepts, a lack of ability to understand and apply the context of mathematics in everyday life, and a lack of ability to use problem-solving strategies.This can be seen from the learning obstacle indicators, namely: 1) Students are unable to master the subject matter within the specified time. 2) Students are slow in completing learning tasks. 3) Students get a low level of learning achievement compared to other students. 4) Students do not show a good personality. The results of the study indicate that there are several learning obstacles faced by students in solving mathematical problems based on numeracy literacy. Subjects with high math anxiety tend to have learning obstacles and vice versa. For researchers who want to choose research on learning object scales, they must understand and use specific indicators so that the results obtained are more accurate.
