Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in science and science learning in class 5 MIN 1 Madiun City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method taking place in MIN 1 Madiun City with the research subjects being the Principal, 5G class teacher, and 5G class students. Research data sources come from two types of data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection technique for this research is through observation, interviews and documentation. To see the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique goes through the data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion drawing stage. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in science and science learning in grade 5 has been carried out well. This can be seen by the teacher having prepared teaching modules in accordance with CP and ATP. In learning activities, observing, writing, discovering, discussing and practicing activities were found which indicated that the teacher had tried to create more interesting learning activities. Apart from that, teachers have also carried out evaluations, both formative evaluations and summative evaluations. Even though the school has only implemented the Independent Curriculum in its first year, this has not been a problem or caused major obstacles. This happened because the school had made good preparations.
