Abstract

This study aims to determine: The process of developing teaching media in the form of Interactive Multimedia Articulate Storyline based on inquiry on work and energy which can be an alternative solution to improve critical thinking and students' conceptual understanding abilities. In the creation and development of this teaching media, it is based on the lack of modules, diverse learning media to support teaching and learning activities, the methods and models used are less flexible and do not match the material being taught. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale used to see the feasibility of teaching media and used a questionnaire to see student responses. The validators in the study were 5 physics teachers and the research subjects were 33 grade X students of SMAN in Madiun Regency. Meanwhile, to see the increase in critical thinking and conceptual understanding, a Pretest was given before using the media and a Posttest after using the media. The results of the study showed that the teaching media in the form of interactive multimedia Articulate Storyline was feasible to use. It is known from the validation of material experts that an average value of 95.7% was obtained which was included in the very feasible category and the validation of media experts was 97.6% with a very feasible category. For student responses, an average of 83.7% was obtained which was included in the very good category. The N-Gain result was 0.60 with a moderate category and a t-test of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that Inquiry-based Interactive Multimedia Articulate Storyline is feasible and can improve critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding in the material of work and energy.
