Abstract
This research aims to determine the perception of the community around the cultural heritage site towards the Ganesha Statue and the community's actions in efforts to protect and preserve the cultural heritage site. This type of research is qualitative research and is field research with a phenomenological approach based on observation, interviews and documentation. Respondents in this research include: People who live around the Ganesha Statue Site in Binade Village. The research results show that the majority of people living around the Ganesha Statue cultural reserve consider the statue site to be a place of historical heritage that has mystical powers and residents continue to maintain traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. They show a positive attitude in supporting the government in its efforts to protect and preserve the reserve. Ganesha Statue Culture. This is also due to the role of related agencies in providing outreach on the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Ganesha Punden mbah Kendang statue. And apart from that, it is also used in the educational sector of the Ganesha Arc Site as a potential innovative learning resource, especially in elementary school science and science subjects.
