Abstract
This research was obtained based on initial observations which showed low student interest which had an impact on learning outcomes. It can be seen from the results of the pre-cycle scores which have an average of 70 below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) applied to schools, namely 85. This research was conducted to explain the application of card media in improving student learning SMA Negeri 8 Malang in the 2022 academic year with a total of 35 students, consisting of 20 boys and 15 girls. Data collection techniques using observation, written tests, and documentation. The results of this study can be explained as follows; 1) in the application of card media in each cycle it can be proven through the results of the fact sentence writing test in cycle I there was an increase in value with an average of 82.11% with a completeness percentage of 60%, while in cycle II there was an increase of 86.05% with the percentage of completeness is 80%. 2) there is an increase in students' understanding in each cycle. Evidenced by the average value in cycle I and cycle II which increased by 3.94% so that in cycle II it was declared successful because it had achieved learning indicators.
