Abstract

This study aims to improve the activeness and learning outcomes of students in the independent curriculum subjects of grade I students of SDN 1 Senepo on the concept of getting to know family members and getting to know types of flat shapes by applying the guided inquiry - discovery method. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method which contains a research flow covering four stages, starting from action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The four stages form a cycle and this study took place in two cycles. Data collection techniques in this study were documentation, learning outcome tests and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative, namely the relationship between three components, including: data collection / data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions / verification. The results of this classroom action research can be concluded: The application of the guided inquiry - discovery method can improve the learning outcomes of the theme of my family of grade I students of SDN 1 Senepo. The application of the guided inquiry - discovery method can improve student activity in the learning process in the cycle there are 4 categories, namely less good: none, quite good: 7 students, good: 2 students and very good: no students, while in cycle II there are 4 categories, namely less good: none, quite good: none, good: 9 students and very good: none. The application of the guided inquiry - discovery method can improve the learning outcomes of class I students of SDN 1 Senepo. This can be seen from the percentage increase in grades of class I students from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, there were 4 students or 44.25% of students who got a minimum score of 75.00, in cycle II, there were 9 students or 100% of 9 students who got a minimum score of 75.00. From cycle I then cycle II, student achievement experienced a percentage increase of 56.25%.
