Abstract
This research aims to describe and explain (1) the application of learning to write children's rhymes through a contextual teaching and learning approach with color card media in class V students at SDN 3 Bangunsari, Ponorogo District, Ponorogo Regency and (2) student learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes through the approach. contextual teaching and learning using color card media for class V students at SDN 3 Bangunsari, Ponorogo District, Ponorogo Regency. This research is classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this research are (1) The application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach using color card media was carried out well, this is known from the observation scores of activities carried out by teachers and students from cycle I to cycle II which have increased. For teacher activities in cycle I the final score obtained was 75 (medium) and increased in cycle II to 90 (high) and for student activities in cycle I the final score obtained was 70 (medium) and experienced an increase in cycle II, namely 87.5 (high), and (2) Learning outcomes in learning to write children's rhymes using the contextual teaching and learning approach with color card media for class V students at SDN 3 Bangunsari, Ponorogo District, Ponorogo Regency have increased after implementing the contextual teaching and learning approach with color card media, which is marked by the percentage of learning completeness in each cycle. The percentage of student score completion in cycle I was 50% (low) and experienced a significant increase to 79.17% (very high) in cycle II. The average class score in cycle I was 71.67 (medium) and increased to 76.25 (high) in cycle II.
