Abstract
BSTRACT Gumilar Arifin, NIM. 2302101229, Efforts to Improve Science Learning Through the Application of the Discovery Learning Model Assisted by Picture Media for Grade VI Students Semester 2 of SD Negeri Sirigan 2, Paron District, Ngawi Regency.2025 This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Energy and Its Utilization Material, especially the concept of improving science learning with the Discovery Learning Model assisted by Picture Media, In addition, it also changes science learning which was initially still centered on the teacher and presented verbally / explaining, with speech into learning that makes students more active by giving students the opportunity to experiment. The method used in this study is classroom action research. This research was carried out in 2 cycles using the Picture Media and experiment methods. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings. This research was conducted on grade VI students of SDN Sirigan 2, Paron District, Ngawi Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year from October to December 2024. The number of students observed in this study was 13 students. The research conducted showed that the application of the Picture Media and Experiment methods can improve the learning outcomes of students of SDN Sirigan 2. This is evident in the initial conditions before the action was carried out, the average student score Pretest 43.08 with Posttest In cycle I the average class score was 69.23, the learning completeness of cycle I had not yet been achieved. In cycle II the average class score pretest 58.46 with Posttest II increased by 80.38, In cycle II this learning completeness has been achieved with a KKM score of 70. Teacher activity in cycle I is categorized as good, In cycle II the percentage increased with a very good category. Student activity increased from the sufficient category in cycle I with a percentage of 73.6% to the very good category with a percentage of 90% in cycle II.
