Implementation of Experiential Learning in the short stories for students SD Negeri 1 Ngrupit Jenangan Ponorogo, Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor (I): Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S, M.Pd , Advisor (II): Dr. Sigit Ricahyono, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: implementation Experiential Learning, creativity development model, short story This aim of this research was to describe and explain the condition of short story learning for SD Negeri 1 Ngrupit Jenangan Ponorogo students, about the implementation of creativity development model in short story learning, and the problems faced by teachers and students in implementing creativity development model in short story learning. This research used descriptive-qualitative methods. The research data source was informants, events and documents. The informants was Indonesian teacher and students of SD Negeri 1 Ngrupit Jenangan Ponorogo. Data collection is done by interview techniques, observation techniques and study documentations. Data validity is done by extending the participation of researchers, making diligent and thorough observations, and triangulating data sources. Data analysis used interactive analysis model, which was carried out in 2 stages, namely during and after the data collection. The result of this research showed that: (1) short story learning was only teacher-centered and theoretical; in short story learning the teacher spoke more in front of students so that the development of creativity aspects was minimal, (2)creativity development model in short story learning created a new fun situation for students, encouraged more interesting learning, students were more enthusiastic in learning, encouraged students to dare to express opinions, could train students to develop their creativity through critical thinking activities and made literary works, (3) problems faced by teachers and students in implementing creativity development model in short story learning was,students were less active in discussion and the teacher had not been able to be a good learning facilitator, poor students' knowledge about short stories, poor language skills and poor creative writing ability.
