Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the completeness of the results of learning science using the demonstration method assisted by audio-visual media in class III SDN Sidorejo 1 and to determine the learning activities of students and teachers using the demonstration method assisted by audio-visual media in class III SDN Sidorejo 1. To overcome the problem of completeness of learning outcomes, this study used the demonstration method assisted by audio-visual media. The definition of the demonstration method is a teaching method by demonstrating objects, events, rules and sequences of carrying out activities, either directly or through the use of teaching media that are relevant to the subject matter or material being presented. Audio-visual media is media that can be seen and heard, which is used to convey learning materials. This media can be in the form of moving images, sound, and writing. The results of this study used the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) starting from the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II which consisted of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation sheets and tests in each cycle and documentation. This study aims to improve the completeness of students' learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences using the demonstration method assisted by audio-visual media. This research was conducted at Sidorejo 1 Elementary School, Karangjati District, Ngawi Regency, class III with 18 students, consisting of 10 males and 8 females. The research process consists of Pre-cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II. During the pre-cycle, it was found that the completeness of student learning outcomes was 44.40%, the value was still below, still lacking, not reaching the completeness of learning outcomes of 80%. so that further improvements need to be made. So in cycle I, student learning outcomes increased to 66.60% and in cycle II increased to 88.89%. In this cycle, the completeness of learning outcomes has been achieved because in cycle II students have achieved the completeness of learning outcomes of more than 80%. From the results of this study, it is known that the use of demonstration methods assisted by audio-visual media can improve the completeness of student learning outcomes.
