Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of profitability and financial distress towards company value with firm size as a moderator (transportation sector case study in the 2019-2022 period). The population of this study was 53 transportation companies in Indonesia. The number of samples in this study was 29 companies determined by purposive sampling. The research method used was a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study indicate : Profitability has a positive effect towards company value, financial distress does not affect company value, firm size cannot moderate the effect of profitability towards company value, firm size cannot moderate the effect of financial distress towards company value.
