Abstract

This study aims to determine the most dominant social skills and dimensions in the science subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Magetan. This research is a descriptive type of research using qualitative methods. The subjects of the study were 2 science teachers and 10 students of class XI BDP SMK Negeri 1 Magetan. Data collection techniques used primary data and secondary data. The research instrument used interviews. Data analysis used inductive analysis in the form of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that students' social skills in the subject of science at SMK Negeri 1 Magetan consist of dimensions of peer relationships, self-management, academic ability, obedience and assertive behavior. The five dimensions can be implemented well by students although there are still shortcomings such as in the dimensions of self-management and obedience, but the majority of students have good social skills in the subject of science. The dimension of peer relationships is the most dominant dimension of students' social skills in the subject of science at SMK Negeri 1 Magetan.
