Abstract

The application of information technology in business is one of the keys to the development of the business. Therefore, the study aims to design a prototype design of a point of sales application that suits the needs. Boogie Secondthrift is a thrift clothing store that offers a variety of unique and attractive clothing for fashion enthusiasts. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative research is conducted through in-depth interviews with members and owners to understand the needs and challenges faced in daily operations. Meanwhile, quantitative research is conducted through a survey to collect data on their assessment of the design made. With the Design Thinking development method consisting of five steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. The results of this study are in the form of a POS application prototype design that is able to provide a user interface design for the point of sales application at boogie secondthrift. This design produces 8 features and 17 screens. And from the calculation using the SUS method, the results are 75. So, it is included in the "Good" category and can be accepted with an acceptance level assessment of Acceptable.
