Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the application of literacy Saturdays with Indonesian children's folklore books to increase fourth grade students' reading interest at SDN Karangrejo 03. The method used in this research is the Class Action Research (PTK) method. This research consists of 2 cycles where in each cycle there are 2 meetings involving planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. From the data analysis carried out by researchers, the results showed that interest in reading in cycle I had a value of 62% (medium). Meanwhile, in cycle II there was an increase with a value of 82.4% (high). Apart from that, the results of the cycle II program evaluation showed that there was an increase in reading of 12 Indonesian folklore books. The findings of students' reading interest in program evaluation showed that students were enthusiastic in participating in program evaluation activities. This can be seen from the table above where the points obtained by students who read many Indonesian folklore books are high. This shows that literacy Saturdays with 12 folklore books are able to increase interest in reading in class IV students at SDN Karangrejo 03. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in reading interest in the implementation of literacy Saturdays with Indonesian children's folklore books in class IV students at SDN Karangrejo 03.
