Abstract
The world of education has a big responsibility in facing the educational challenges of the 21st century. One of the skills needed to overcome future challenges is the ability to think critically. Critical thinking is the ability to actively analyze and understand information in depth before making a decision or taking a position. The existence of SMA Negeri 4 Madiun students who have low critical thinking skills is a problem. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of group guidance using Uno Stacko media to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is quantitative research with experimental methods, one group pre-test and post-test design. This research uses a population, namely class X students of SMA Negeri 4 Madiun. The sample for this research was 10 students from class X9 of SMA Negeri 4 Madiun who were selected using purposive sampling. The data collection technique used is a critical thinking questionnaire. Based on the research that has been carried out, the data that has been analyzed can be concluded that group guidance using Uno Stacko media can be effective in improving critical thinking skills in class X SMA Negeri 4 Madiun City.
