Application of Leveled Reading Books and Guided Reading Strategies to Improve Reading and Writing Culture in Class III Students at SDN 3 Wates, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024." Thesis, Department of Indonesian language and literature education. PGRI Madiun University Postgraduate Program. Supervisor (I) Dwi Rohman Sholeh, SS., M.Pd, (II). Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M.Pd. Keywords: Keywords: Reading and Writing Culture, Leveled Reading Books This research aims to find out what the state of literacy is and to find out the implementation of the "Leveled Reading Book" learning method for Class III Students at SDN 3 Wates, Slahung District, Ponorogo Regency. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews, documentation studies, and questionnaires. Meanwhile, data analysis uses observation techniques for teachers and students and assesses student learning achievement. The indicator of success in increasing student learning achievement in this study was seen from 75% of students completing the KKM (KKM score of 75). The research results obtained from three posttests showed that 90% of students passed the reading lesson. Then there were 87% of students who passed the KKM for writing lessons. The average student performance score at the end of cycle 3 increased, from only 62 for reading lessons, then increasing to 77.4. Meanwhile, in writing lessons, which was previously 62 increased to 76 at the end of cycle 3. Meanwhile, for student visits to the library, an increase was seen in cycle 3, there were 88% or 15 students who made library visits with a score of > 75. The progress of the development of literacy activities carried out was seen in the cycle 3 there are 90% or 15 students who carry out literacy activities with a score of > 75.
