Abstract

This study aims to analyze stylistically the BlacKkKlansman movie script and analyze one of the categories in stylistic which is figurative in the BlacKkKlansman movie script. The researcher needs to apply stylistic analysis. The BlacKkKlansman movie script is the research object material that the researcher chose is in the form of words, phrases, and sentences from the movie script. This research applied a qualitative method using descriptive research design. The result shows there are eight types of figurative language where metonymy is the highest number of found with 19 data. Along with the functions where three functions are found in the BlacKkKlansman movie script. The researcher found that by using figurative language, the author of the movie script is using the past to show the harsh world people live in now
