Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence of the effect of Economic Growth, Economic Structure, and Urbanization on Tax Revenue with Inflation as an Intervening Variable in Asian Countries for the 2020-2024 Period. The population in this study was all countries in the Asian continent, using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 40 countries for the 2020-2024 period. The research method used in this study was a quantitative approach. This research used Panel Data Regression Analysis with the help of EViews 14 software and a mediation test using the Sobel Test. The results show that economic growth has a positive and significant effect on inflation, while economic structure has a negative and significant effect on inflation. Urbanization has a negative but insignificant effect on inflation. Regarding tax revenue, economic growth has a positive and significant effect, economic structure has a negative and significant effect, while urbanization has a positive but insignificant effect. Inflation has a positive and significant effect on tax revenue. The Sobel Test results indicate that inflation mediates the effects of economic growth and economic structure on tax revenue, but not the effect of urbanization on tax revenue.
