Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the implementation of poetry writing learning using the outdoor activities method assisted by photo media for fifth-grade students of Kesamben 1 State Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency and (2) the learning outcomes in poetry writing learning using the outdoor activities method assisted by photo media for fifth-grade students of Kesamben 1 State Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. The results of this study are (1) the application of the outdoor activities method assisted by photo media using photo media in writing poetry for fifth-grade students of Kesamben 1 State Elementary School, runs as planned. Learning to write narrative paragraphs by applying the outdoor activities method assisted by photo media carried out by the teacher follows the learning steps that have been designed, and (2) the learning outcomes of the application of the outdoor activities method assisted by photo media using photo media in writing poetry for fifth-grade students of Kesamben 1 State Elementary School, in learning to write poetry. This is proven by the average value obtained after the application of the outdoor activities method using photo media is at 81.88.
