Abstract
SUPATMIATI. 2026. implementation the 8 Dimensions of the Graduate Profile through Project-Based Learning Contextualized with Trenggalek Local Wisdom for Grade IV Students of SD Negeri 2 Buluagung. Thesis. Master’s Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA). Supervisor I: Dr. Dwi Setyadi, M.M, Supervisor II: Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd Keywords: Graduate Profile, Project-Based Learning, Local Wisdom, Trenggalek, Elementary School. This research is motivated by the demand to strengthen the graduate profile which encompasses 8 dimensions, covering aspects of character, competencies, and basic literacy. However, instruction in elementary schools still tends to be oriented solely toward cognitive mastery and lacks the integration of holistic dimensional development. Teachers find it challenging to design learning experiences that can simultaneously activate all these dimensions. Project-based learning (PjBL) contextualized with Trenggalek local wisdom is expected to serve as a solution because it involves students in authentic, collaborative, and meaningful activities that integrate various aspects of development. The objectives of this study are to describe the implementation of project-based learning contextualized with Trenggalek local wisdom and to analyze its effectiveness in strengthening the 8 dimensions of the graduate profile among students. This study employs a qualitative approach with desain a case Study . The subjects were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Buluagung. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, project product assessments, teacher reflective notes, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques with the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL, which incorporates local wisdom-based projects such as creating folklore comics, cultivating traditional plants, and making bamboo crafts, significantly strengthens all eight dimensions of the graduate profile. These eight dimensions include: (1) spirituality and noble character, (2) nationalism and diversity, (3) independence, (4) mutual cooperation, (5) critical reasoning, (6) creativity, (7) literacy, and (8) communication. Students demonstrate improvement in responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to express ideas orally and in writing through project presentations. Teachers also find it easier to assess student development comprehensively because project products reflect integrated mastery of various dimensions. In conclusion, project-based learning contextualized with Trenggalek local wisdom is effectively used to strengthen the 8 dimensions of the graduate profile for fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Buluagung and is recommended as an innovative approach in implementing the curriculum in elementary schools.
