Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi penggunaan media foto kegiatan sehari-hari sebagai strategi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sampung 2 Kabupaten Magetan, serta menganalisis respons siswa terhadap strategi pembelajaran tersebut. Latar belakang penelitian ini dipicu oleh rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa yang cenderung pasif, kurang percaya diri, dan memiliki keterbatasan kosakata dalam menyampaikan gagasan secara lisan di depan kelas.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru kelas dan seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sampung 2. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi langsung proses pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi berupa rubrik penilaian performa berbicara siswa. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi media foto kegiatan sehari-hari sebagai rangsangan visual terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Penggunaan foto yang bersifat autentik dan dekat dengan kehidupan siswa mampu memicu ingatan jangka panjang, memperkaya kepemilikan kosakata deskriptif, dan menstimulus keberanian siswa untuk bercerita. Proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif karena siswa lebih mudah menyusun kerangka cerita berdasarkan objek visual yang konkret. Kendala yang dihadapi berupa keterbatasan variasi media cetak dapat diatasi melalui pemanfaatan media proyeksi digital di kelas. ABSTRACT Widyaningsih, Yuyun. 2026. This study aims to describe the implementation of daily activity photo media as a strategy to develop the speaking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sampung 2 Magetan Regency, as well as to analyze students' responses to this learning strategy. The background of this research was triggered by the low speaking skills of students who tended to be passive, lacked self-confidence, and had vocabulary limitations in expressing ideas orally in front of the class.The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects included the classroom teacher and all fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Sampung 2. Data were collected through direct observation of the learning process, in-depth interviews with the teacher and students, and documentation in the form of students' speaking performance assessment rubrics. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing interactively.The results showed that the implementation of daily activity photo media as a visual stimulus proved effective in improving students' speaking skills. The use of authentic photos that are close to students' lives successfully triggered long-term memory, enriched descriptive vocabulary possession, and stimulated students' courage to tell stories. The learning process became more interactive because students could easily organize the story structure based on concrete visual objects. Obstacles encountered in the form of limited print media variations could be resolved through the utilization of digital projection media in the classroom.
