Abstract

The current attendance system for village officials at the Sirapan Village Office relies on manual signatures, making it vulnerable to data manipulation and undermining discipline. This research aims to develop a web-based attendance system that integrates computer vision with GPS location validation. The system's novelty lies in the automated resizing of facial images to 112x112 pixels using the InsightFace library (ArcFace Buffalo_L). Face detection is performed using YOLO, while protection against photo-based spoofing is ensured through active liveness detection (detecting blinks and head movements) powered by MediaPipe and OpenCV. Proof of attendance is transmitted in real-time via a WhatsApp Gateway (Fonnte API). The system was built using TypeScript, PHP, Python, and MySQL, alongside the Laravel 12 and React.js frameworks. Black-box functional testing confirmed the successful operation of all features. A user satisfaction evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with 30 respondents yielded an average score of 81.42 (categorized as Acceptable, Grade A, Excellent). The system has proven to be user-friendly and practical, successfully modernizing village administration.
