Abstract

The Faculty of Engineering at Universitas PGRI Madiun has students from various regions, with data including their origins and previous high schools. However, this data is currently managed conventionally, making it difficult to analyze student distribution and school information quickly and effectively. This condition limits the study program's ability to gain a clear overview of student distribution areas and to identify high-potential schools for promotional targets. This research aims to design and develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for Student Distribution to map the students' origins, display high school information, and facilitate the analysis of distribution patterns. The software development method used is the Waterfall model. The results show that the system was successfully built using the Laravel framework with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development, and Python to support AI-based analysis features using the Llama model. The system utilizes Leaflet.js and OpenStreetMap for map visualization, MySQL for the database, and is equipped with features for managing student data, school data, distribution statistics, data export, and AI-based analysis. This system is expected to assist the study program in managing student data, obtaining distribution information more effectively, and supporting the development of promotional strategies based on the students' regions and schools of origin.
