Abstract

This research aims to design and build a Decision Support System (DSS) to determine social assistance recipients in Sangen Village using the Weighted Product (WP) method. The background to this research is that data on social assistance recipients in Sangen Village is still manual, resulting in errors in the selection process and inaccurate aid distribution. Therefore, a system capable of supporting more effective and accurate decision-making is needed. This system was built using the PHP programming language and the Laravel 12 framework. The system development method used in this research is Rapid Application Development (RAD). The research results demonstrate that the Decision Support System (DSS) using the Weighted Product (WP) method is capable of systematically and objectively calculating and ranking aid recipients based on established criteria. Blackbox testing of the system demonstrated that all features and functions functioned as expected. This decision support system is expected to improve the targeted distribution of social assistance in Sangen Village, ensuring that its benefits truly reach those in need.
