Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools still relies on printed worksheets that are less interactive and do not adequately integrate computational thinking skills, making it difficult for students to solve problems systematically. Preliminary observations indicated that the teaching materials used by teachers contained less contextual tasks and had not effectively supported the development of students’ computational thinking skills. Therefore, this study developed a digital worksheet based on the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model, integrating technology with interactive learning activities. The study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility of the digital worksheet in improving the computational thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, pretest–posttest assessments, and documentation. The participants were 14 fifth-grade students at SDN Wayut 03. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings showed that the digital worksheet was successfully developed to meet the learning needs for the topic of area and perimeter of two-dimensional shapes by incorporating various interactive features. The product was rated highly feasible, receiving validation scores of 100% from the media expert, 80% from the language expert, and 77.78% from the subject matter expert. It also received positive responses from students (90.21%) and the teacher (97%). Moreover, the digital worksheet effectively improved students’ computational thinking skills, as reflected in the increase in the average pretest score from 68.92 to 85.35 on the posttest. Therefore, the digital worksheet is considered both feasible and effective for improving fifth-grade students’ computational thinking skills in mathematics learning.
