Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has led to the disruption era, characterized by significant changes in work systems and service innovation. Potrait Room, a creative service business operating as a self-photo studio, faces challenges in adapting its human resources to remain competitive. This study aims to analyze the effect of soft skills, competency, and work experience on employees’ ability to face the disruption era. The research employed a quantitative approach using non-parametric analysis, as the data were not normally distributed. The sample consisted of 77 employees from eight Potrait Room branches in East Java. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with Spearman Rank correlation, and multivariate analysis using ordinal logistic regression. The results indicate that soft skills, competency, and work experience significantly influence the disruption era in bivariate analysis (p < 0.05). However, multivariate analysis shows that only competency has a significant effect (p < 0.05), while soft skills and work experience do not. This finding highlights competency as the dominant factor in supporting employee adaptability to technological and service changes.
