ABSTRACT IWAN EDI PUTRA. 2025. The Effect of Using Digital Comics on the Reading Skills of Fifth Grade Students of Musirkidul Elementary School, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. Theses. Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor (I) Dr. Dwi Setiyadi, M.M; (II) Dr. Sigit Ricahyono, S.S. M.Pd. Keywords: Digital Comics, Reading Comprehension, Indonesian Language Learning This study aims to determine the effect of the use of digital comics on the reading skills of fifth-grade students of Musirkidul State Elementary School, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. The research method used was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 12 students, with a total sampling technique. The instrument used was a multiple-choice question of 20 numbers for the pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that students' reading comprehension skills before using digital comics were classified as sufficient with an average pretest score of 45.83. After participating in learning using digital comics, students' reading comprehension skills experienced a significant increase with an average posttest score of 85.00. The results of the paired sample t-test obtained a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Thus, it can be concluded that digital comic media has a positive and significant effect on the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students of Musirkidul State Elementary School, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency.
