Abstract
ABSTRACT ANDRIAS YANU WARDANI. 2025. The Effect of Ice breaking on Improving Concentration in Learning Indonesian in Grade V Students of SD Negeri 1 Rejoso, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. Keywords: concentration in learning, icebreaker This study aims to analyze how much influence ice breaking has on the concentration of Indonesian language learning of students at SD Negeri 1 Rejoso, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. This study was motivated by the low concentration of students in finding and solving problems given by teachers and also students quickly get bored with routine tasks given by teachers. The type of research used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach and the design used is non-equivalent control-group. The population used in the study were students of SD Negeri 1 Rejoso, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency with a total of 366 students, while the research sample used was 29 students of class Va as the experimental class and 29 students of class Vb as the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaire sheets, observation sheets and documentation. Before conducting the research, a validity and reliability test was conducted on the student learning concentration questionnaire sheets distributed in the class, analysis of research hypothesis test data assisted by the SPSS version 55 application and tested using the independent sample t test with the average posttest results of the experimental class 67.70 while the average posttest of the control class 64.10 this can be seen from thitung (3.141) > ttabel (1.671). From the results of the effect size calculation of 0.40, thus the effect of the use of ice breaking on student learning concentration has an influence with a modest effect category (simple effect).
