Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the use of the poster comment method can improve the speaking skills of class V students of SDN 3 Ngunjung, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 3 Ngunjung, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to speak using the poster comment method. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) the use of the poster comment method can improve the speaking skills of class V students of SDN 3 Ngunjung, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency. This is evidenced by the students' speaking skills using the poster comment method increasing by showing a picture of a poster, in front of the board and observing students then giving their opinions about the picture of the poster, students come forward and give their opinions about the poster in front of the board, and (2) the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 3 Ngunjung, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency in learning to speak using the poster comment method have increased. This is proven by the completion value of cycle I of 65.82 (45%) or 9 students who completed it and in cycle II it increased to 86 (95%) or 19 students who completed it.
