Keywords: writing, nonfiction, field trips, and video media This study aims to describe (1) the application of the video media-assisted field trip method in learning to write non-fiction texts for grade VI students of SDN 1 Demangan, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency, (2) the advantages found in the application of the video media-assisted field trip method in learning to write non-fiction texts for grade VI students of SDN 1 Demangan, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency, (3) the weaknesses found in the application of the video media-assisted field trip method in learning to write non-fiction texts for grade VI students of SDN 1 Demangan, Tanjunganom District, Nganjuk Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique used to analyze data in this study is the interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study, namely: (1) The application of the field trip method with video media in learning to write non-fiction texts is able to create a new learning atmosphere that is fun for students so that learning is more interesting and enjoyable, (2) The advantages of the field trip method with video media are teachers and students in implementing learning to write non-fiction texts, namely students can learn directly in the field so that the knowledge obtained is real, alive, meaningful, and comprehensive, and (3) The disadvantages of the field trip method with this media are that requires a lot of time allocation, requires extra strict supervision and guidance of students, requires relatively large costs and if not controlled then students will always be lulled into playing rather than studying, and requires preparation involving many parties
