Binti Halimatus Sholikhah. 2026. Efforts to Improve Reading Skills and Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes Through Interactive Multimedia in Grade II Students of SDN Glonggong 04. Thesis. Elementary School Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. , (II) Vivi Rulviana, M.Pd In Indonesian, there are four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. These four skills cannot stand alone but are interconnected. One of the skills students need to master is reading. Reading is a crucial skill; students are required to be able to search for and obtain information, cover the content, and understand the meaning of the reading. In fact, students have difficulties in reading, both in terms of speed, accuracy, comprehension,and reading in terest.This studyaimsto improve the reading skills and Indonesian language learning outcomes of second-grade students of SDN Glonggong 04 through the use of interactive multimedia. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Twenty second-grade students participated in the study. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an improvement in students' reading skills and learning out comesafterthe implementation of interactive multimedia.Inthe pre-cycle, only 30% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). In Cycle I, this achievement increased to 60% with an averagescore of 71.45. In Cycle II, learning achievement reached 100% with an average score of 76.8. Furthermore, student activity and motivation during learning also significantly improved. A possible solution in this study is the development of interactive multimedia. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia is effective in improving the reading skills and Indonesian language learning outcomes of second-grade students at SDN Glonggong 04.
