Abstract
Sarwi. 2025. The implementation of the Project Based Learning model in poetry writing learning in 5th grade of SD Negeri Sengkut for the 2025-2026 academic year.Thesis. Madiun : Program Masters Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, University of Madiun. Supervisor (1) Prof. Dr. Parji, M.Pd (2) Dr. Erlik Widiyani Styati, M.Pd Keywords: Learning Model, Project Based Learning, Poetry Writing The background of this research is that the 5th-grade students of SD Negeri Sengkut have low writing skills. The teacher still often uses conventional methods in learning, making students feel lazy, bored, and unable to arouse motivation or interest in following the lesson.The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the project based learning model in teaching poetry writing for Grade 5 students of SDN Sengkut. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological research type. This approach and type of research was chosen for the reason that it was to describe in detail the application of the Project Based Learning model in learning specifically about writing poetry for class 5 students of SDN Sengkut. The results of the research, namely the first, show that the teacher's steps in carrying out learning using the Project Based Learning model have been carried out well, this is in accordance with the qualifications of the value given. In carrying out the process of learning poetry material using the Project Based Learning learning model, it is carried out in several stages, starting with submitting basic questions, designing project planning, making schedules, monitoring, testing results, and evaluating. Second, the results of the ability of students with good or complete predicates. The conclusion in this study is that class 5 teachers applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can be implemented well by producing a project, namely poetry from all students with good average scores.
