Implementation of the Talking Stick Learning Model with Story Telling Techniques to Improve the Storytelling Ability of Grade III Students of SDN 1 Berbek, Berbek District, Nganjuk Regency. Theses. Keywords: learning models, talking sticks, and story telling This study aims to describe (1) the application of the Talking Stick Learning Model with Story Telling Techniques to improve the storytelling ability of third-grade students of SDN 1 Berbek, Berbek District, Nganjuk Regency and (2) the activities of third-grade students of SDN 1 Berbek, Berbek District, Nganjuk Regency in storytelling learning using the talking stick learning model with story telling techniques. This study is a classroom action research with two research cycles. The results of this study are (1) The storytelling ability of third-grade students of SDN 1 Berbek, Berbek District, Nganjuk Regency increased after participating in learning by applying the talking stick learning model and story telling techniques. This increase is indicated by the average initial test score of 48.64 increasing to 68.03 in the final test of cycle I. In the final test of cycle II, the average score increased again to 75.34. The percentage of success with a KKM score ≥70 in the initial test was only 0% while at the end of cycle I it reached 61.90%. The percentage of success increased again to 76.19% at the end of cycle II, and (2) student activities showed a positive change in the behavior of grade III students of SDN 1 Berbek, Berbek District, Nganjuk Regency after participating in storytelling learning by implementing the talking stick learning model with storytelling techniques. This positive response was proven by the results of observations, teacher activity sheets, student activity sheets, interviews, and sociometric methods.
