Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work life balance, perceived organizational support, career adaptability, and work environment on the job hopping intention among Generation Z employees in Madiun City. The phenomenon of job hopping, defined as the tendency of employees to change jobs within a short period (1-2 years), is increasingly prevalent, particularly among Generation Z. A quantitative research method was employed, using surveys to gather data from Generation Z employees working in Madiun City. The findings reveal that work life balance, perceived organizational support, career adaptability, and work environment have both simultaneous and partial significant effects on job hopping intention. Work life balance emerged as the primary consideration for employees when deciding whether to stay or switch jobs, followed by organizational support, career adaptability, and working conditions. The implications of this study are significant for organizations in designing retention strategies tailored to the characteristics of Generation Z employees.
