Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, audit report lag, and profitability towards stock price volatility in energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019–2024 period. This study used a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis used Multiple Linear Regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25 software. The results of this study demonstrate that inflation has a significant negative effect towards stock price volatility. Audit report lag has no effect towards stock price volatility. Profitability has a significant positive effect towards stock price volatility. These findings provide important implications for investors and company management in understanding the factors that trigger stock price fluctuations and improving the transparency of financial information.
