Abstract

This research aims to obtain a clear description of learning the skill of writing observation report essays through productive creative strategies using scrapbook media for students of Class X TJKT 2 of SMKN 1 Ngawi. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used are informants, events and documents. The informants in this case were the deputy principal, Indonesian language teacher class X TJKT 2, and students of Class X TJKT 2 of SMKN 1 Ngawi. Events in this case were all forms of learning activities at school. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews, observation and documentation. Validity in data uses the triangulation technique which consists of 3 types of triangulation, namely source, data and method triangulation. The results of the research showed that when learning the skills of writing observation report essays through a productive creative strategy using scrapbook media for students of Class X TJKT 2 of SMKN 1 Ngawi went well. Collaboration between teachers and students, as well as between students and students in class or in groups also ran smoothly. Teachers have carried out learning planning coherently and in accordance with learning objectives.
