Application of Picture and Picture Learning Model to Improve Simple Sentence Writing Skills in Indonesian Language Learning Class II of Prambon Madiun State Elementary School. Thesis. Master Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate School, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Dwi Rohman Soleh, S.S., M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Agung Nasrulloh Saputro, M.Pd. Keywords: Picture and picture learning model, writing skills Writing skills are a process of developing thoughts and pouring ideas into a good and meaningful paragraph. Writing skills allow us to share ideas and knowledge with others. The characteristics of writing skills are complex abilities, leaning towards skills or practices, mechanistic and assignments, must go through gradual or accumulative activities. This simple sentence, the pattern used obeys the predicate. When used, sometimes a simple sentence template is found that contains an object and information in elements. Simple sentences also only require objects and predicates in their formation. This research utilizes classroom action research. This study aims to improve students' writing skills in Indonesian language learning in grade II through the application of the picture and picture learning model. This research is motivated by the low writing skills of students. Based on the research results and data analysis, the picture and picture learning model can improve students' writing skills. After conducting class action research in cycle I, students' writing skills increased to 65 or classified as quite good. Then in cycle II there was an increase to 78.3 or classified as good. Thus it can be concluded that the picture and picture learning model can improve students' writing skills in Indonesian language learning in class II of Prambon Madiun State Elementary School
