Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I) Dr. Nurulita Imansari, S.Pd., M.Pd. (II) Pramudya Ardi, S.Pd, M.Pd. The increasing development of technology has encouraged the implementation of automation systems in social life, for example, the implementation of automated systems in households. The purpose of this research, "The Design and Construction of an Arduino Microcontroller-Based Automatic Switch," is to encourage household automation aimed at improving comfort and security. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. Through the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research successfully designed the Arduino Microcontroller-Based Automatic Switch Design consisting of an ESP8266 NodeMCU integrated with a dimmer module, PIR motion sensor, and light sensor. The light sensor measures the intensity of environmental lighting, and the PIR sensor identifies the presence of people in the room. As for the media validation test, it obtained an average of 75.66%. The success of the research in designing the Arduino Microcontroller-Based Automatic Switch Design can be used in household automation.
