Abstract

Inventory management at SMKN 2 Jiwan has traditionally been performed manually using books or spreadsheets, often leading to challenges in item recording, labeling, and monitoring. The absence of a monitoring system results in frequent, undocumented item relocations. This study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory system integrated with QR code technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of inventory recording, labeling, borrowing, and condition monitoring. The system was developed using the waterfall software development model, utilizing PHP with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the database. System functionality was tested using black-box testing, while user satisfaction was evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The resulting system supports more effective inventory management, provides real-time reporting, and reduces the risk of data loss.
