Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy in history education. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of sources. Data analysis employs interactive analysis. The results of the study show: (1) The implementation of Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy focuses on the principles of asah, asih, and asuh in history education at SMA Negeri 1 Kedunggalar has been carried out effectively. For instance, the asah principle sharpens students' critical thinking skills; the asih principle instills values of kindness and compassion; and the asuh principle provides guidance to foster moral development. (2) There are already forms of implementation of the philosophy of asah, asih, asuh in history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kedunggalar, such as the way teachers sharpen students' intellectual understanding of historical material, instill values of compassion in history learning, and guide students in moral development. (3) Challenges in applying the educational philosophy of asah, asih and asuh in history education at SMAN 1 Kedunggalar are experienced by both teachers and students. (4) Teachers' efforts in overcoming obstacles in implementing the philosophy of education, care, and nurturing in history learning.
